Outstanding drama series nominees "Better Call Saul" "The Crown" "House of Cards" "Stranger Things" "This Is Us" “Westworld" In this category I have only seen Atlanta, Black-ish, Modern Family and a portion of Master of None…oh wait and a portion of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. The latter two I didn’t dislike, but I didn’t find anything in them that made me feel like I must finish the series. If you have not seen Atlanta, you should check it out, I enjoyed the entire season and found the black Justin Bieber episode very interested take. Outstanding comedy series "Atlanta" "Black-ish" "Master of None" "Modern Family" "Silicon Valley" "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” Again, all shows I have watched and enjoyed, if you do not recognize some of the names on this list…get familiar them, they are all good! I love This is Us, it is hard to keep a dry eye when it is on! Outstanding lead actor in a drama series Anthony Hopkins, "Westworld" Bob Odenkirk, "Better Call Saul" Matthew Rhys, "The Americans" Liev Schreiber, "Ray Donovan" Kevin Spacey, "House of Cards" Milo Ventimiglia, "This Is Us” Like above, all shows I have watched and enjoyed, if you do not recognize some of the names on this list…get familiar they are all good! If you have never seen Stranger Things…stop what your doing now! Go watch it, its a Netflix Original. When you’re done watching…com back and finish reading! Outstanding supporting actor in a drama series Jonathan Banks, "Better Call Saul" Ron Cephas Jonas, "This Is Us" David Harbour, "Stranger Things" Michael Kelly, "House of Cards" Mandy Patinkin, "Homeland" Jeffrey Wright , “Westworld" Everyone in this list has already been mentioned above…and I have already recommended you watch, if you aren't doing so already! There is one addition, Orange is the New Black, I’ve been on that bandwagon since it originally aired, come get on it with me! Outstanding supporting actress in a drama series Samira Wiley, "The Handmaid's Tale" Uzo Aduba, "Orange Is the New Black" Millie Bobby Brown, "Stranger Things" Chrissy Metz , "This Is Us" Thandie Newton, “Westworld" If you haven’t seen Shameless or Transparent…again stop what you’re doing watch them both (it will take awhile to get through all those seasons of Shamless - US Version…but you can thank me later), THEN come back here! Has anyone seen Baskets? I think I might have to check it out. Thoughts? Outstanding lead actor in a comedy series Anthony Anderson, "Black-ish" Aziz Ansari, "Master of None" Zach Galifianakis, "Baskets" William H. Macy, "Shameless" Jeffrey Tambor, “Transparent" I have not seen the entire series/season of any of these nominees, closest would be Black-ish, I am missing several episodes from this last season but I’ve seen at least half. I have seen a couple of episodes for the Netflix Original Grace and Frankie, which I thought was funny. Anyone have any recommendations from this list? Outstanding lead actress in a comedy series Pamela Adlon, "Better Things" Jane Fonda, "Grace and Frankie" Allison Janney, "Mom" Ellie Kemper, "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" Tracee Ellis Ross, "Black-ish" Lily Tomlin, "Grace and Frankie” I have only watched half of the shows in this category. I think I may need to finally break down and watch Veep!? Outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series Louie Anderson, "Baskets" Tituss Burgess, "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" Ty Burrell, "Modern Family" Tony Hale, "Veep" Matt Walsh, “Veep" If you have not seen Transparent or last seasons Saturday Night Live, please check them out. Transparent is VERY progressive and there are many actors and actresses out there fighting for rolls that do not put them in a box, this show has many transgender actors/actresses even though the main character is not. Outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series Vanessa Bayer, "Saturday Night Live" Leslie Jones, "Saturday Night Live" Kathryn Hahn, "Transparent" Judith Light, "Transparent" Anna Chlumsky, “Veep" I REALLY enjoyed The Night Of and Big Little Lies, have you seen them? Outstanding lead actor in a limited series Benedict Cumberbatch, "Sherlock: The Lying Detective" Robert De Niro, "The Wizard of Lies" Ewan McGregor, "Fargo" Geoffrey Rush, "Genius" John Turturro, "The Night Of" Big Little Lies…great show and great mix of actresses and produced by women, including Reese Witherspoon I’ve seen American Crime, this was first season that I actually watched, this is another show trying to shed light into areas of darkness in our society. Outstanding lead actress in a limited series Carrie Coon, "Fargo" Felicity Huffman, "American Crime" Jessica Lange, "Feud: Bette and Joan" Susan Sarandon, "Feud: Bette and Joan" Reese Witherspoon, "Big Little Lies" Has anyone seen Feud: Bette and Joan or The Wizard of Lies? Outstanding variety talk series "Full Frontal With Samantha Bee" "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" "The Late Late Show With James Corden" "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert" "Real Time With Bill Maher" I do not watch reality-competition shows the closest I get is The Voice very irregularly, even though my fave Gwen is on there. Outstanding reality-competition program "The Amazing Race" "American Ninja Warrior" "Project Runway" "RuPaul's Drag Race" "Top Chef" Silicon Valley or Veep which should I watch first? I’m currently waiting for season 2 of Atlanta. Outstanding directing for a comedy series Jamie Babbit, "Silicon Valley" Mike Judge, "Silicon Valley" David Mandel, "Veep" Morgan Sackett, "Veep" Dale Stern, "Veep" Enjoyed every show in this category, kind of surprised This is Us is not in this category.
